Creating a brand identity
for a new brewery
The Challenge
Powder Monkey came to us wanting a new brand identity for their up and coming brewery.
Not only that, they needed a website, a whole interior design focus, and a brand launch strategy. Quite the big project with a whole range of internal skills required.

The Solution
Using their location for inspiration, the historic Navy gunpowder building in Gosport became the centre point for the brand and it’s personality. We created 3 different brand routes all with an individual brand character. Once a route was chosen, we developed the brand identity and guidelines.
In partnership with an interior design team, we visualised ideas for the interior that captured the brand heritage and personality. We created interior visuals, signage, packaging design, corporate identity, website and a campaign launch strategy, including social media content and management.
The Future
- In addition to the brewery identity we created a sub brand for an ale. The ale was the brain child of England world cup winner Steve Thompson. We created the name Hop & Hooker to celebrate Steve’s career, love for the sport and his pride playing for his country
- Hop and Hooker is now fast becoming the most popular ale in the Wetherspoons chain

“Being part of the 2003 winning team in the rugby world cup is one of my proudest moments. I wanted to create something that celebrates my love for the game, captures a little bit of me and most importantly bring something truly British to the table. The new name and identity delivers this vision perfectly”
